Data exchange
Data exchange
Brief information about this chapter
This chapter deals with the exchange of item data in plentyMarkets. More precisely, it deals with the import and export of data in connection with external systems.
Before you can import or export data, you need to select data fields. For the import, the columns are identified by the names in the column header (first line). The selection of data fields is also relevant for the import, since data has to be assigned to different data types.
On the pages in this section, you will learn how to set up or configure interfaces to external systems that are linked to plentyMarkets via the plentyMarkets API (programmable interface).
In addition, you will find information about how to back up your data.
Backing up data
When carrying out a data import, faulty data records can do severe damage. Therefore, you should always back up your data before carrying out a data import.
In addition, you should save the exported file directly and without changes so that you can always come back to it if necessary.
The most common problems are the deletion of column content and the incorrect sorting of column content included in import files.
For further information about this topic, refer to the backup chapter in the manual.
Service for data interfaces
It is also possible to have an individual data interface created for you upon request.
